    Have moved into a £100m factory on the Birmingham Business park near the NEC & airport. Together with the sister factory that was based at 1 York Rd , former Velocette motorcycle company , now a pile of rubble .

    Apparantly the building was originally a bus station. The last occupants Rolls-Royce aero engine controls.

    It was (is?) on the front of the Lucas Aerospace building, Shaftmore lane originally built for the gas turbine fuel pumps I understand. I think the sqwirly bits represent the turbines, the Lucas lion is the original Lucas lamp (King of the road) logo but the rest ??????

    Can somebody explain what all the symbols mean on this Lucas sculpture circa 1938-40 Shaftmore lane and is it still there , preserved or destroyed now ?
