  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

A tricky picture this. Would it be possible to remove the black carrier bag on the extreme left of the picture, by my daughter’s leg. Also remove the brown folder under her right hand, and lastly remove the blue and white carrier bag between the girls?
You are probably asking why I did not remove the offending items before taking the picture, simple, I didn’t see them !

Thanks John, they're brother and sister both now in their mid-eighties and the photo was just found tucked away in a cupboard.
 
Hi Aggie2347. Unfortunately the part of the photo showing your Grandfather was the most damaged so I've had a bit of a struggle with this, I presume that as a corporal (I think) he would have been wearing trousers rather than breeches which the two officers are sporting. However I'm not an artist so this is the best I can do at the moment!

Edit - Joyce says I may be wrong about the trousers and he may have had what resemble bandages! Will do some investigating. Have you any more pics of him in his uniform?

Edit 2 - on second thoughts he may have been wearing boots which went almost up to the knee.

Edit 3! On doing a bit of research I think grandfather would have been wearing boots so I've modified the photo to suit!
