Do you really mean 1900s?Hi, do you have any memories of the Beehive in around the 1900s onwards? I would like to know if you or anyone you remembers a gentleman by the name of 'Thomas Wilson Palmer' whom I believe ran the place for a bit.
Soho Hill I think it may have been and around 1908Joe
There are several Beehives. You ought to say which one
Yes lol around 1908Do you really mean 1900s?
Just seen your post. There is a part picture of the Kings Head in Allison Street on the Lost Pubs Project website. Are the any pictures,or information on " the kings head" pub,at 67 Allison street,Birmingham,I think it was demolished about 1906/7.
Thanks MWS, I'll keep looking.I can't see Lombardian Place on the 1891 map but it may have changed names by then. Do any of the neighbouring houses have numbers. If not you could continue to check properties either side for other named terraces or pubs to narrow it down.
It is mentioned in the Bham Daily Post, 4 Jun 1869 in regards a lost dog - The Struggler, Guildford Street, Aston.
The census says The Struggler , Lombardian Place. Which I found using address search here:Not quite sure what you mean by street search giving 6 households with no mention of him. You have the page which lists him in Guildford St.
