  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

scan0018.jpgHere is a photo of the V.E street party celebrating the end of WW2. The photo was taken in Turnberry Road, Great Barr, at the end of the road that joined Booths Farm Road (Calshot School). My uncle is the little boy at the front facing the camera, my grandparents had a house just at that spot. My parents later bought a house a few doors away where me and my siblings were born and grew up.

what a lovely photo i remember those silver cross prams used them when my children were born then when we were finished with them they were useful for fetching the coke from windsor road gas works
