In August 1966, Phyllis Nicklin was involved in researching Kings Norton, in particular looking at the possibility that Kings Norton might once have been more important than Birmingham. But she needed further information and made an appeal in this Birmingham Daily Post article in August 1966 to locate the whereabouts of Kings Norton's parish records to assist with this research.

It's also mentioned in the article that a pamphlet was planned if the research produced quality evidence. Earlier pamphlets had been prepared about Sheldon and Yardley. Has anyone ever come across these ? And was the Kings Norton pamphlet ever published ? Viv.

One reason King's Norton may have been more important was that it became a Royal Manor as early as the 15th. century.
