  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

    Avenue road,in Aston was partly wooden blocks,they were there untill i left Aston in 1971/1972,they were at the rear of St Mary's up towards Aston Road.

    I used to go to the social club they had on a Saturday night,this was in the early 70's.Used to go with a lad who worked there,and other friends. We used to bus it from Aston Road,the bus stop being opposte the old toilets over the brook,and stagger back,good times.

    I have driven through to Turves Green by going left off the main road into the Kalamazoo turning,back in the late 70's,i'm sure Longbridge conservative club is/was there,well a club of some sort anyway.
