    Hollymoor Hospital 384 Tessall Lane

    I worked briefly at Hollymoor as part of my nurse training, around 1989. The buildings were very much still Victorian and a bit grim. But the staff were lovely, as were the patients. I was on the female acute ward, and very much enjoyed my time there.

    This thread has bought back so many memories! I grew up in Area 13. My mum was a barmaid at the Kingfisher pub for a few years in the late 70s/early 80s.

    I had a great great grandfather who died suddenly and there was a coroners inquest in 1892. I was able to get the file sent to me by post.
