Im have been asked to provide a map showing 57 Sherlock St. Below are two maps, one detailed one from the 1880s showing the position post 1882, and a smaller scale one showing positions before and after renumbering around 1880

The photo is of the north side of Sherlock St looking toward town, the next road junction on the same side as The Woodman would be Lower Essex St.

That's a good photo. I think my quest (No57) may not have been a shop after all in 1920. A possibility is wasn't.

It certainly wasn't a shop on Kelly's 1921 which would probably relate to 1920 or even 1919.

Do you have a name connected to No. 57 ?
