A nice message from a happy vistor to Brum and the Art Gallery
I like some of the Pre-Raphelite collection and here it is.....Birmingham Art Gallery has the largest collection in the world of works by the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Not to everyone's taste (mine included) but worth a visit once in a while.
My favourite painting at Brum is the huge depiction of Corporation Street in the very early 20th century, displayed at the top of the stairs near the main entrance. Don't know who the artist is, but it's impressive.

A well put together video featuring "The Last Of England"..I was always affected by this painting - so bright, so vivid and yet so very sad!
