  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

With reference to thread concerning School Badges. I am compiling a list of obsolete Birmingham schools (schools no longer in existance). Please add the name of any school that fits the criteria. Here are some to start the list. Mabz

Not sure about Pitman's badge- it was in shorthand I remember. This school was a high school)
 
Both the schools I went to - Loxton Street Infant & Junior and Central Grammar - now gone, as well as at least two I taught in - Alderlea Boys' and Handsworth Wood Boys'. I don't have any badges etc here where I live in Cyprus, but I'm coming back to the UK for a few weeks next Saturday and I'll see what I can find then.

Here are the names of some schools which are still there but with different names:

Erdington Girls/Erdington Grammar (depending on date) now Kingsbury School
Marsh Hill Secondary, now part of Stockland Green School
Perry Common now called College High
Riland Bedford now called Plantsbrooke
