ESSO BLUE PARAFFIN.
 
My Mother used to send me down to Mr. Tallis's ironmongers in Tame Road Witton for a gallon of Esso Blue in one of those boxy cans. He had a 50 gallon drum of the stuff behind the counter !! and filled the can while he was smoking his pipe !! Can you imagine it !! I think it was 2/6d for the gallon.
Do you recall the cartoon advert for "The Esso Blee Dooler" ?
 
 
On a different tack, how about the Renault Dauphine, rear engine I think. The TV advert ran "A penny farthing a mile and she travels in style"

		 Mike I have some different ones on this computer but can only access them through Internet Explorer and it is so slow.   I saw ichmacol in the chemist the other day I think it replace the old Black Jack?
