Birchfield Road sweet shop

Does anyone recall an old fashioned sweet shop in the 1960,s. The address was 67 birchfield road ( Six Ways end). It was originally run by an old gent who made all his own boiled sweets -pear drops, pineapple rock, spearmint balls, treacle toffee and the like. There were no sealed bags Just tall glass jars and open boxes. When the old gent died the shop was run by his three daughters for some years until the underpass building happened and I believe they also ran another shop in Grove Lane handsworth?.

Yes I remember theTucketts well as we lived next door to the shop but they were the final owners I believe. That would have been the later part of the60's and \i believw that they moved to Great Barr by the Clifton picture house if memory serves me right. I would love to hear from anyone who lived in that area (six ways) in the 50's and60's
