Hi All
Just found a couple of pictures that show a little bit of Birmingham history,
the location is on the corner of Wills St and Carpenters Rd.
Pic 1
This is the General Store and shows my Grandfather [Henry Josiah Hunt] and in the doorway is my Grandmother [Mary Ann Hunt] with the children,Thomas.Florence [My Mother] and George.
My Mother was born in 1902 and so this dates this picture.
Pic 2
This shows my Grandfather's oil tanker which was done up to look like a steam engine and he travelled locally selling oil at a penny a pint.It was the only tanker he had but he had a 3 painted on it to give the impression he had a fleet.
Pic 3
Last month I went back to where the shop used to be and low and behold the building was still there.
