couldnt believe my eyes today....this well known ironmongers has been demolished not sure if it has moved elsewhere..it was like a time machine in there all the fittings were original...

Oh no. What an emporium that was. I went in there many times during the seventies/eighties. Sad day.

as i said mort the building has been demolished...just waste land now...yet another piece of brum history gone.not a nut or bolt in sight

I worked over the road from Whites , our firm was always popping in and out of there .

Not long before my Dad passed away he wanted us to take him back to the Summer Lane area where he grew up. I took a lot of photos for him and one was of Whites. How sad that it's no longer there.

Yes , it was like Jackson's Garage that was opposite at one time both landmarks
