The astute 'F.W.R' became a member of the club as early as 1881. Employed as a surveyor with Birmingham City staff, it was his movement which instigated the famous Barwick Street meeting culminating in the resignation of the committee He introduced many reforms including the
installation of 12 turnstiles, a realisation of gate receipt rise from £75 to £250
This was an era of real success within the next ten seasons reached the Cup Final 3 times and were League Champions on five occasions We all await the next dawning! WAK
