Hi
Does anyone know if any photographs exist of short stirling BK660 which i believe crashed on take off from elmdon and ended up across the coventry road? The two crew were unhurt.

thank you Brian.

"08/02/1943 Newly-built Stirling BK660 was on a test flight from Elmdon, with the elevators locked externally. It climbed away steeply, stalled and crashed just outside the aerodrome boundary. Test pilot D Cotton and flight engineer Mr F D Newman were both unhurt." https://www.couplandbell.com/marg/crashes1943.htm

If any photos were taken, they would have been 'restricted' at the time. I'd try the RAF museum first https://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/london/collections/archive/ and the Imperial War museum https://www.iwm.org.uk/ next.

Thanks for that, will have a look.
