These images are of an ARP demonstration in 1939. Today there are no clues left from the photos of the earlier Gloucester Street, it's now pedestrianised and has no buildings earlier than around the 1960s. Do we have any photos of this street showing older buildings ? Viv.

Yes thanks Dennis. There seems to be much less domestic housing and more warehousing and associated buildings for the markets. Viv.
