Gaynor Rooms Sparkhill

Peter Faulkner

proper brummie kid
A newspaper notice of the marriage of my grandparents reports that their wedding reception was at the Gaynor Rooms, Sparkhill. I've googled this and I can find no reference. Does anyone know where the Gaynor Rooms were? This was in 1931. Thanks!

In 1932 this article appeared in the Birmingham Daily Gazette

There is also a reference to Gaynor's Rooms Stratford Road Sparkhill

In 1932 Kelly's Directory there is this entry for 168 Stratford Road. Just checking to see if there is a Sparkhill Club as well.

I wondered if the reception was held in the club rooms?

Earlier edition also lists
