Does anyone know what these postcards would have been made for? Presume just for history. Found in Dads collection. He was a fireman in Birmingham in the 50's but I don't know whether he bought them or someone sent them to him, so can't date them. Not been able to find anything about any photographer called Austin.

The Postcards are c1910-12.
The Postcard with 2 Appliances -
The Vehicle on the left - O 2638 was purchased c1907.
The Vehicle on the right - O 4863 was purchased c1910.

The Birmingham Fire Brigade postcards by Austin comprise of a set of 22 all different, printed in 1910 they were sold for 2 shillings a set with the object of aiding the Widows and orphans Fund of the Association of Professional Fire Brigade Officers, the set was approved by the Chief Officer A R Tozer. This is the second set of postcards covering the Birmingham Fire Brigade the first being a set called the "Scott" series which was printed sometime around 1907/1909.
