Fair House was Murdoch’s Handsworth home. Birmingham Library also refers to it as Sycamore Hill House. The House stood to the west of Queens Head (Queenshead) Road. It’s very similar in style to the home of fellow Lunar Society member Boulton (Soho House, Handsworth). Viv

Such a wonderful piece of history. I guess I am slow, statues are erected to Boulton, Watt & Murdoch who are entombed at St Mary's and their homes were knocked down along with their works.
