A really interesting read on the various plans to develop the city, predominantly the city centre. Look at the names and titles of those who approved it, not likely to get that level of endorsement on any equivalent planning document today! You can download as pdf which is how i found it easiest to navigate.

The scale of some of the projects - the civic centre from Easy Row down to what looks about the distance of Sheepcote St (nice windswept area!) with its skycraper tower. The baths and spa at Lancaster Place, how long would that have lasted?!. Interesting plans for New St station and the need to do away with the council house.

Couldnt find any reference to this document on the forum so apoligies if it has already been discussed.

Tim
