Current Archaeology

May be this is a topic which needs to be revised as so much history can be lost when new developments are made on previously industrial sites.

When Brindley Place was made little seems to have been done to look at the foundations of the former Brasshouse there, for example.
 
Yes Heartland, I think it's also worth signposting in this thread any current digs by posting a link to any individual threads. It's certainly proved worthwhile having a dedicated thread for each dig as it usually generates much information and discussion. Perhaps we could use this thread to record other archaeological digs and and to post a link to the appropriate thread. It all helps to keep tabs on current activity. It would also be useful to know any planned or recent findings from surveys carried out before new building developments are to commence. Thanks. Viv.
