  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Cotteridge School In 1959 - Did You Attend?

If you attended Cotteridge School in 1959, do you remember Mary Teresa johnson, sometimes called
Tessa or Tess please?
She was only there for a few months, and left the school suddenly.
Mary is my hubbie's sister and we have been searching for her for 9 years.
Mary was in Shenley Fields Children's home.
We are trying to find out why she suddenly left the school. We know that she worked
and lived at The Palm Court hotel, Wake Green road, moseley 1960-1963. From there we
can find no trace of her.

Can anyone help us fit the jigsaw together please?

There are three possible marriages for a Mary T Johnson in Birmingham during a 20 year period 60/80
Philip Jordan in December 1977
Joseph D Andrews in September 1969
Patrick Dooley in March 1960
Could be that Mary married one of those chaps ?

Thankyou for the information re marriages.
It wouldn't be the Dooley marriage, as Mary was only 15 in 1960.
It's definitely not the andrews marriage, as we have researched thoroughly into that one.
But I have to say, that out of all the marriages we have sent for certificates, i have never
seen the Philip Jordan marriage!!
so thankyou for that, it may be one we missed.
I will look into it, and let you know the result.

Although the surname has a 't' in it, i will pursue it, as
mistakes are sometimes made on documents.
