British History Online tells us:

COLMERS FARM COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL, Bristol Road South, Rednal. Rubery Bd. Sch. opened 1883 by King's Norton Sch. Bd. Accom. 154 M, I. Rubery Temporary Bd. Sch. closed on its opening. M dept. enlarged 1899. By 1935 permanent building held only 2 classes out of 12. New JI block opened 1940, and used for M, I. Old building also used from 1941. Assembly block only of new SM dept. opened 1947. Reorganized 1946 for SM, JI. Part of new SM dept. opened 1949 and became a separate sch. (see next sch.). Name changed 1949. Organized in 2 depts.: JM, I Accom. 1961: 22 classrooms, 2 halls

COLMERS FARM COUNTY MODERN SCHOOL, Bristol Road South, Rednal. Became a separate M sch. 1949 (see preceding sch.). Buildings completed by 1950, except practical block completed 1954. N.o.b. 1961: 790.
