  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

City Centre Photographs

Looking at #2065, its something that has always amazed me, that the thing about HE damage, is so variable, the "Rackhams", building on the corner looks nearly undamaged, it the blast direction, not size amount, same in NI.
 
I would say looking at the church spire that it is definitely St Pauls. Studying the maps I would say that the photo was taken near the junction of Newhall Street and Great Charles Street. I think that the camera has, because of foreshortening, shown the hill steeper than it actually is.
