Cartmell-Tobacconists

I went to school with Judith Georgina Cartmell from Kingshurst 50's annd 60's. Never come across anyone with the same surname. Anne

Can't find any Cartmell tobacconists, but there is a John Cartmall, who is first listed as a tobacco maker, and then as a shopkeeper (who could well be a tobacconist, amongst other things):
1862 Cartmall, John, tobacco maker .60 Hollier St
1867-8 Cartmall, John, 179 Darwin st shopkeeper
1876-83 Cartmall John, shopkeeper, 31 Warner street
