Thanks for that Jennyann, I was there a lot in the late 50s. So sad that it's finished now.
 
My brother is gutted but he has been a member of so many clubs that have closed. I wonder if we will all become hermits..lol
 
It's the same with a number of associations, too, like the British Legion. The Tamworth one was only just making ends meet last year, but now they are welcoming all people in for a drink or coffee. Perhaps the strict (and necessary) drink and drive rules have in part been to blame? I also think people's lives have changed dramatically, their needs are different to what they were in the 1970's or whatever.
