Set in Afghanistan,telling the story of two women over 30 years until the Taliban came to prominence.

The oppression of these 2 strong women is dreadful but amongst it are some beautiful human moments.

I read it some time ago and really enjoyed it. I now have "The Kite Runner" on my shelf, ready to read once I get the time!
