Sir George Beharrell became Chairman of Dunlop in 1937 – 1949 and apparently there used to be a statue of him at Fort Dunlop.

Does anyone know what happened to the stature or is there a picture?

Hi, just a little late, but only joined recently
The statue (Bust) you refer to, was situated outside the Council Chambers close to the main entrance to the Fort Dunlop factory. It was there all the 35 years that I worked there and when we had a 3 man team closing the factory down in 2001, we crated the statue and it went into storage shortly before the Council Chamber was sadly demolished. Its present location I'm not sure of, cheers MASS
