Both were former lock up matrons in the building you visited recently. There are facts about War World 1 and the movement of Soldier and those Policemen that left the force to serve. It then moves through the years and a large section around World War II. There are pictures of Steelhouse lane, Newton Street and inside the courtyard of Digbeth. Corinne and Steve came to talk to the group I belong to last night. They gave an excellent talk supported by a really good Power Point presentation and video. They were happy to answer all the questions (and considering the size of the group there were lots of these!) Who knew that some female officers worked until they were 77!!! Everyone present agreed that it was a very interesting talk and I'd thoroughly recommend them to any group looking for a speaker. A vast amount of research had been done and they make a great team with lots of insider knowledge. At least half a dozen of those present went home with a copy of the book and were very pleased to know that they were supporting such worthwhile causes. All profits go towards women's charities.
Apparently they have a new book in the pipeline and we all look forward to their next presentation. Keep us posted Corinne and Steve.

I won the book in the raffle at the meet on Saturday. Have only read a bit so far but would recommend it.
