  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Discounted Electrical Household Products First Shop In Yardley

anybody know the name of the first big big electrical discount store opened near the swan yardley in the early 70s. They used to take up full page adds in the birmingham mail very often stating the retail price of the item and their price. It was a relatively new concept at the time.
 
I seem to recall that in their early days you could buy photographic gear from the Swan Yardley Comet store.

They became suppliers of purely domestic appliance items in later years.
