How lovely. I think Penny was the youngest of the Sharples family. Her older brother was great friends with Victor Clent until his tragic accident at 17 on a motorbike
Wow that’s brilliant- Joy’s daughter Paula used to go to the sweet shop with her Grandmother Ivy when she was little, also the corner shop on Nursery Road/ Villa Street. Happy memories

My Grandparents lived on the corner of Nursery Road and Brougham street, No 16 Nursery Road. Ivy and Arch Clent from 1941- 1971 (I think it was 1971) their children were Barbara, Joy, Roy and Victor
