Graham Lineker

Born in Stourbridge on 10 July 1944.
Lived in Goodrest Avenue, Quinton until 1963.
Attended Quinton Church Primary School from 1949 until 1954 before going to Four dwellings Secondary Modern School until 1960.
Was in the school chess team during from1958 to 1960.
Obtained O-level GCE's in 5 subjects.
Completed a 5 year technical apprenticeship with Stewarts and Lloyds Ltd, pipework manufacturers. Then transferred to the erection dept as a junior engineer.
Emigrated to Sydney Australia in November 1966, where I still reside with my family.
Worked for Union Carbide for 30 years and spent the last 11 years as the Engineering Manager.
I retired from full time work as in 1999.
Returned to part time work from 2003 until 2014.
Usually spend 6-8 weeks every year in Europe and visit Birmingham for 5-6 days to catch up with old friends from school and work.
