My Cyber Family
I wrote the following poem about 3or 4 years ago and it still applies today.
Many people have come and gone, but thats just like any ordinary family in everyday life.
I dedicate it to every member of this site, past and present.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------



I have lots of friends and I've known em for years
Some mek me laff and some drive me to tears

But some years ago on a cold Saturday night
I stumbled across a bostin new website

It sed it was about Aston, I thought, that'll do for me
Cuz you see its part of my home Birmingham City

Now the people that run it are the salt of the earth
you can't put a cost on just what they're worth

There are hundreds of members with hearts med of gold
With priceless memories and valuable stories to be told

They speak of the City and how friendly it used to be
I've sin the new Bull Ring and it don't do nothing for me

Where's all the market blokes gone with their loaded up barrers
And the little od lady shouting "'ANDY CARRIERS"

Loaded down mothers with raggy arsed kids in tow
All being dragged where they daint wanna go

One day i'm gonna buy me Mom a fur coat
I've sin em in the Rag Alley for a ten bob note

And if I did buy it it's a penny to a quid
She'd sell it and buy something for me and our kid

The people on this site without any doubt what so ever
Are the kind who remain friends for ever and ever

You pick me up when I'm feeling really low
And when I'm being stupid your the first to let me know

So pick up your glasses and raise a great cheer
Cuz you are my Cyber Family and I'm so grateful your here

Right from the heart that Jim. Lovely. It is a bit early to raise a glass but I will make sure I do tonight with that in mind. Thanks again for all the time and effort yourself and Hilary put in to keep the forum alive. Jean. PS. As you are head of the family Jim can we call you Grandad?.:rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Jim. Thats a lovely bit of Brummie poetry. And I hope I can include myself into the greatest CYBER FAMILY on the go. Its a privelege to be amongst so many like-minded people. Plus, Ive had the pleasure of meeting both Hilary & yourself. Regards, Barry.
